Serie A Seria A: AC Milan v Cesena

    Serie A Week 24 - 22 Feb 2015 (14.00 UK)
    Milan - Cesena
    Stadio Giuseppe Meazza
    Cesena
    Milan

Bouyed by last weekend’s shock draw with Juventus, Cesena will be hoping to build on that by defeating a struggling Milan side, who are desperate for a win.

It’s been far from rosy in the red and black half of Milan, who have once again had to endure a week of criticism and anger directed at them by fans and media.

Last week’s 1-1 draw with Empoli looked as if it was to be the final straw for Pippo Inzaghi, who was already being linked with the Milanello exit door by the media.

Inzaghi’s stay, until the end of the season at least, has since been confirmed by the club, following a summit held by Silvio Berlusconi and joint-CEO Adriano Galliani, and he will be hoping to repay the trust shown in him.

The mission to save his Rossoneri career and the club will commence in a difficult battle against a feisty Cesena side.

Victory will not come easily for Milan as they will have to make do without the suspended Philippe Mexes, Diego Lopez and Gabriel Paletta.

Caution will certainly be exercised when coming up against the Sea Horses, who receiveda confidence-booster after holding Juventus to a 2-2 draw.

Domenico Di Carlo’s men showed great flair, pace and exuberance when they took on the defending champions on Sunday evening.

Their performance was so impeccable that they will be eager to expose Milan in the same light, knowing that the Rossoneri lack pace and width to their style of play.

It will certainly work in their favour if Di Carlo’s charges manage to do so, and they will be looking to launch their new arrival and ex-Inter midfielder Gaby Mudingayi onto the scene too.

“I really like the spirit in which my teammates train and I will give my best as I always have in my career. I can see that everyone gives their all on the field to keep the club in Serie A,” he told cesenacalcio.it

Keep An Eye On: Luca Antonelli (Milan) The full-back has been pretty impressive for the Rossoneri since arriving from Genoa. His pace and form will certainly come in handy against a Cesena side that showed real flare and width to their play against Juventus last week. With the only real player giving Milan any more of solidity, he will certainly be key to this encounter.

    Last Season: Did not play

Form Guide: Milan (LLWLD) Cesena (LWWLD)

Stat Fact: Cesena have won more league games in 2015 than what Milan have so far this calendar year, with the Sea Horses managing two wins to the Rossoneri’s one.

Milan (probable): Abbiati; Rami, Alex, Bocchetti, Antonelli; Poli, De Jong; Honda, Menez, Bonaventura; Destro

    Suspensions: Mexes, Paletta, Diego Lopez

Cesena (probable): Leali; Nica, Capelli, Lucchini, Magnussuon; Carbonero, De Feudis, Giorgi; Brienza; A. Rodriguez, Defrel

its all irrelevant! we suck and we will lose!

What has really struck me today is the hatred towards Silvio for allowing this shit to happen. On Facebook AC Milan posted 29 years of Silvio. Virtually all the posts said SELL THE CLUB! We at DM predicted this shit years ago!

What i dont understand is that if Marina (the one who allegedly cut the purse strings) has power of say over Silvio then why doesn't she sell?? If on the other hand she needs Silvio to sell and she doesn't have that power, why doesn't Silvio overrule her with the transfer funds into the club.

The only possible answer is that Silvio doesnt care

he does care, but about the another side of milan which we don't care/benefit from

on topic we won't lose. losing at home from cesena at this moment would mean desperate times for B&G they will have to fire inzaghi but they won't since they don't have a new puppet ready and their desperate/idiotic new loan/fake buy reinforcement only helped shit!

i would love to see us lose, but i guess we will win after a difficult non football game
