Default Serie A: AC Milan v Chievo Verona

    AdTech Ad
    MATCH PREVIEW
    Serie A Week 6 - 4 Oct 2014 (19.45 UK)
    Milan - Chievo
    Stadio Giuseppe Meazza
    Chievo
    Milan

Milan come into this fixture on the back of two draws and will want to end that sequence with a victory at San Siro against Chievo.

The Rossoneri are still in a transitional period with new faces on the pitch as well as on the sidelines. Club legend Fillipo Inzaghi has started his managerial career on the right path with an attacking minded strategy, but recent results has seen enthusiasm waiver.

“As a Coach I need to look at improving the team game by game and I feel we are doing that”, said Inzaghi “We have a good team spirit and maybe those who watch us risk a heart attack, but at least they are entertained! That's what we wanted to bring back to Milan.”

Fernando Torres replacing Mario Balotelli up front scored his debut goal against Empoli in a thrilling comeback, which ended 2-2 after the Milanese side had gone two goals down and all eyes will be on the former Chelsea man to replicate that performance, rather than the quieter showing that followed in the draw with Cesena last weekend.

Chievo have started the season poorly, and have now failed to win in their past three games. Coach Eugenio Corini will have legitimate concerns about his team going into this tough fixture.

Last season Milan strolled to a 3-0 victory over the Gialloblu, and will start this game as favourites to repeat that performance. A win here for the Rossoneri could see them climb into the top four, whilst for Chievo any points are a must as they already begin to look at the table settling around them.

Corini will hope that Francesco Bardi is as handy between the sticks as he last was when Chievo were the underdogs away from home. Bardi was instrumental in their only win of the season thus far at Napoli, where he saved a Gonzalo Higuain penalty.

Keep an eye on: Fernando Torres (Milan) - After a disappointing few years in the English Premier League, Torres already has one goal from two games to his name. The Spanish forward will want to get his first goal in front of the home fans and rekindle his magic in front of goal.

    Form Guide: Milan (W W L D D) Chievo (L W D L L)

    Suspended: Zapata

Chievo (probable): Bardi ; Frey, Dainelli, Cesar, Biraghi, Radovanovic, Cofie, Hetemaj, Birsa, Maxi Lopez, Paloschi

Billy Costacurta is right. Inzaghi makes a mistake by playing Torres against teams that defend tight. Pazzini would do much better there. Maybe Inzaghi's decisions are influenced by Silvio, yet, its obvious that Torres is simply very weak.

Well I think (through no fault of his own) that Torres impeads the team. When we had Menez as a false 9 with SES and Honda flanking the attack seemed fluid and interchangeable. Since we introduced Torres we have lost some fluidity
