Even Zapata has looked good tonight, he's been poor all season

Fucks sake we can't string two passes together! We give possession away far too easily

Very poor second half! This is the usual barca performance from Milan, good first 30, we run out of steam and have a poor 60mins which relies in dogged defending

yup! we were great in the first 25-30 mins, then Barca balanced the game. we didnt do much than stand in the own half and wait for barca attacks.

Valdes made one save second half! Not good enough

    Bright spots:

We weren't embarrassed - it was certainly possible based on some of our other results.

Robinho converted a chance while directly in front of the goal - usually he misses all of them, but tonight he put in one of them, although the one where he completely missed the ball was his best blunder yet. The announcers thought it hilarious.

Kaka (proved he's still got class, and even though he's never going to be what he once was, he is probably the best player on this squad)

Upside - we can only improve as we're still missing some of our best players and will only get better, including Desciglio, SES and Pazzini (who I rate way ahead of Matri, IMO). I actually think Desciglio gives us a huge leap in quality.

I have not seen the game yesterday, but it seems the squad is more stable defensively in a 4-3-3 than with 4-3-1-2 as the attacking wingers (Brisa and Kaka yesterday or El Sha in general or Boateng last season) have a high work rate and "know" their job defensively well enough (is like a 4-5-1 then). Even last Saturday against Udinese it seemed more to be a 4-3-3 than a 4-3-1-2 which I prefer by ages.

Looking forward to have De Sciglio and El Sha back in the squad and honestly, 3 upfront with El Sha, Kaka and Balo is fascinating. And then you still have Birsa, Robinho and Matri/Pazzini as reserve which is good with this packed schedule ahead uf us.

Still don't get why we bought Matri.... Especially as even Allergi has finally got the point in switching back to the old 4-3-3 as the better system than his beloved 4-3-1-2.

schön dich wieder hier zu sehen, Swissmilan!

most important was not to get embarrassed. when i recall displays like vs torino,bologna... we were more than good yesterday. all we did was defending for more than a hour still 1-1 is a great result for us.
haroon is somehow right, we should wait until all players have recovered and are back to full training. we will get better for sure. a sign of it was kaka last night. not the old kaka we used to see, yet maybe our strongest man we have now.
