Mate, in a must win game, Allegri starts with a midfield of Muntari, Nocerino and MVB! It's beyond negative! Aquilani and Urby on the bench!

    Pathetic!

He has to go. We can try and blame injuries and refs but ultimately it's our managements failure to buy good players and persists with Sokratis, Muntari, Traore signings and also Allegri is incapable of leading a team like Milan and playing attacking football

c'mon, it's not like we didn't dominate the game and played better than the opposition. we certainly created more than enough chances to win it. prior to the cassano sub, we had about at least 4 clear-cut chances to score - zlatan with an open goal but he ballooned it, noce's wry shot clear to goal, abate's similarly poor shot with only the keeper to beat, zlatan's offside goal when clearly he was about a meter on-side. we should have scored 3 goals at least. we lost due to poor finishing and a series of bad defensive mistakes (from vb to bonera) that led to a well executed counterattacking goal. zlatan was overall pretty bad throughout the game too. in that sense, we did suck.

If we lost due to poor finishing as you say then why are you on about prioritizing the midfield first? It is for this reason why we need a gun striker because we can't rely on Robinho who will be Robinho in front of goal, Noc missed two good chances and ZI was too busy moaning about everything today. Even with this pathetic midfield we created 4 good chances but failed to score.

A midfield helps to dictate the play and control the game. Against teams like Bologna even our weak midfield can tackle them but against good sides a good midfield helps you stand shoulder to shoulder with them and have an equal share in the middle of the park. At the end of the day it is the finishers who need to finish and good finishers take the half chances to score regularly.

We have one of the most expensive attacking lines in the world and yet we are poor finishers! We need to fix both departments in the Summer or a world class midfield will get frustrated seeing every chance they create getting squandered up front. We need to fix the midfield and the attack.

    FOR STARTERS we need:

    1. LB
    2. Box to Box mid (both more attack minded than defensive)
    3. Box to Box mid (both more attack minded than defensive)
    4. Attacking mid
    5. Striker

    That means this ............

    --------------------------------- Abbiati ----------------------------------------

    Abate ------------ Nesta (C) ------------- Silva -------------------- Signing 1

    --------- Signing 2 ---------- Nocerino ----------- Signing 3 -----------------

    ------------------------------- Signing 4 ---------------------------------------

    ---------------------------------------------- ZI --------------------------------
    -------------------------- Signing 5 --------------------------------------------

    Signing 1: Criscito
    Signing 2: Montolivo
    Signing 3: Hernanes/Sneijder
    Signing 4: Ganso/Eriksen
    Signing 5: Falcao/Damiao

I'm sorry but putting it bluntly, KPB is simply bad as a B2B mid. He doesn't have the passing range, the patience or the calmness to send good passes to teammates or make good runs to receive them. He is poor. If we want to play him there then it is better to sell him off. He can be a backup AM if we get someone good to start there.

Signing 2 is Montolivo. Signing 3 seems to be TRAORE! It should be a HIGH quality signing IMO like Seedorf who can keep the ball and do well. This signing cannot be like KEITA or MIKEL! Damn! It has to be Sneijder or Strootman or Hernanes or Casemiro ... somebody with quality on the ball.

Signing 4 is anybody's guess but so far Ganso's name is being linked as he is in Santos and we are offloading Robinho who is also ex-Santos. We don't even know if we are getting an AM now. I explained how the Ganso + 15m doesn't make sense from MILAN's THINKING POINT OF VIEW as we evaluate players totally differently from the rest of the world.

Signing 5 will probably be Tevez or Balotelli because of Raiola! It won't be Falcao or Damiao because we do the opposite of what we need.

But before any of this happens ... we need to MAN UP and call in 13 players and tell them to their faces .... YOU FIRED!

Zvonimir made a good point though regarding Silvii's alleged pursuit of Guardiola. Guardiola will want assurances of spending power and to build a good squad. He isn't going to settle for a squad of 3-4 DMs + Seedorf and Montolivo!

Personally I think it's all bullshit because Papi won't provide the funds for this and it will be Lippi who replaces Allegri.

After all Lippi has won't everything and is a champion!

Lippi is a ten times backwards move now. Disasterville!

oh c'mon, you're going to use this one game as an instance and a case to refute a much much broader point that i was trying to make? how petty . even if you have a point, let's consider the following:
    (1) usually in games such as this, zlatan finishes off his chance. he came up short today because he plain looked awful throughout the game, aside of course from the well finished goal he scored late into the match.
    (2) if we had a world-class matchwinning midfielder today, like a prime kaka, he would've sliced through bologna and scored a goal or two, easy. not to mention, a greater quality midfield would have destroyed bologna pretty easily on its own. not completely inconceivable, no? imagine if say this present barcelona side were playing instead against bologna.
    (3) this midfield won't be able to create as many chances in europe as they are able to against a side like bologna.
