Mau................when making a historical movie, an element of accuracy is required![]()
we can reconstruct historical artifacts or events, but we do not know exactly every aspects, there goes the director 'patch' the holesthen it's a second hand reconstruction that we take it as ' the reconstruction ' but in facts it's a partial truth and a partial lie
accuracy is a dream not yet come true in reconstructing history![]()
they say Ceasar was murdered by his son or that Cleopatra had a eagle nose
or before they say Dinosaurs were reptiles, now they say they were giant birds (reptile skin vs feathers, and which color?)
is it this that we call an accurated reconstruction ? ;P
it is a movie, not a documentary OR an history book, a movie is made to 'patch with fantasy the missing holes' or even turn them as they wish
if you expect true history from cinema you better go for books, and even books do have holes.
also in the roman times masses went in the arenas to see slaves slaughters vs gladiators or beasts (as today SOME kids and horror lover does watching disgusting stuff - at least fiction - on tv or cinema) or have killing videogames for the console, just because they like it, or it is a global economical success __________is it really NICE_________ ?
nice and not nice can be an abused term everyone would like to use
Mau, its fact that Robert the Bruce lived 200 years after Wallace, im not saying he had an eagle nose![]()
i mean even what it's historic facts = Hitler existed (true) in 1945 (true), he was german (true) he was gay (who knows) he died (officially), something it's a fact, something it's a guess, something must be 'patched'
so even what seems to be absolutely not missing anything DOES MISSES THINGS
now being fiction, it doesnt matter they patch it with something rather than something else.
Hitler! Gay!
you don't get many Adolfs now do you?
I don't like the way Holywood alters history, they did it in Pearl Harbour too. Just so the movie didn't show Americans losing.
