Kaka with a good game. His level of performance has been rising consistently ever since returning from injury. He will of course be in perfect condition to face Juve, Fiorentina and Roma in the next few weeks.

Other than him, Ambro again did well. Surprisingly he has been really good these last few games. Perhaps he is worried about his contract?

Overall, great weekend. We are now 9 points ahead of Fio in 4th with 5 games to go.

    View from Channel 4:

    Serie A Week 33 - 26/4/09 (14.00 UK)
    Milan 3 - 0 Palermo
    Kaka pens 10, 56 (M), Inzaghi 19 (M)
    Stadio Meazza

Kaka was on spectacular form to inspire Milan in a comfortable victory that sends them clear in second place.

The Rossoneri had the wind in their sails after catching Juventus in second place, but welcomed a Rosanero side that had already beaten them 3-1 earlier this season. Alexandre Pato joined the list of absentees (Bonera, Antonini, Gattuso, Borriello, Kaladze, Nesta, Abbiati), but the Rosanero had a full squad to choose from after Fabio Simplicio's ban expired.

Despite Pato's absence, Clarence Seedorf was picked to start instead of Ronaldinho. Mathieu Flamini was confirmed in the right-back role. The heavy rain over Milan made play tricky and may have contributed to Cassani's clumsy tackle on Massimo Ambrosini. Kaka took the penalty and slipped it just beneath Marco Amelia's fingertips.

Giulio Migliaccio's header did not make the most of a Nelson Dida error on a corner.

Milan doubled their advantage thanks to Inzaghi's 10th goal in seven games. He was left unmarked at the back post for a diving header on Ambrosini's intelligent chipped pass.

Fabrizio Miccoli's free kick whistled just wide of Dida's right post, though David Beckham wasted a great chance set up by Kaka. The Brazilian wanted a penalty for a tug from Simon Kjaer, but contact was minimal.

There was a moment of great fair play when a free kick was awarded for Simplicio's challenge before Ambrosini assured the referee that he had merely slipped.

Dida took two touches to control a Migliaccio header, but Kaka curled a splendid right-foot effort inches past the far post. Amelia stuck out a foot to deny Kaka and Inzaghi just failed to get on the end of the Ballon d'Or winner's cross.

After the restart Cesare Bovo received a second booking - both for fouls on the inspired Kaka - to leave Palermo with 10 men.

Seedorf's strike was charged down and another penalty was awarded as Kaka had gone round Federico Balzaretti, who stuck out an arm to drag him back. The Brazilian was on stunning form and converted the penalty himself, sending Amelia the wrong way.

Feeling the game was over, Davide Ballardini took the opportunity to blood a few youngsters at San Siro. One of these, goalkeeper Ujkani, was tested by Gianluca Zambrotta and Ronaldinho.
Milan: Dida; Flamini, Maldini, Favalli, Zambrotta; Beckham (Cardacio 79), Pirlo, Ambrosini; Seedorf (Ronaldinho 64); Kaka, Inzaghi (Shevchenko 67)

Palermo: Amelia (Ujkani 64); Cassani, Kjaer, Bovo, Balzaretti; Migliaccio, Liverani, Nocerino (Hernandez 46); Simplicio; Miccoli (Mchedlidze 58), Cavani

    Ref: Rizzoli

    Sent off: Bovo 48 (P)

I am very impressed with Flamini. Given time and secure spot in the starting 11 he is growing. Plus his versatility is something to behold. He can play every single position in midfield and was simply outstanding today as a RB. Seems he never gets tired. But I am afraid should Rino had been healthy we would have never seen this happen.

Also Ambro was impressive today. Nice assist to Pippo and all around great performance.

Kaka is slowly starting to look like himself again. Hope we will have him back in his full force next season.

The rest was ok, (expect for Seedorf, but I will refrain from commenting on this player for the rest of the day. HE SUCKED BALLS YET AGAIN!!!!). Nothing special, but a solid overall performance. Pathetic display from Palermo sure helped.

Agree, Flamini was impressive. He's good at making runs even if he doesn't have the ball. Thumbs up.

I liked what I saw from Kjaer, sure Kaká made him look like a fool one time, but overall a great player.

for Kjaer i'd consider few points :

1: its Milan in San Siro ( in a good period )
2: it's the best attack in Italy (goals scored)
3: If Kaka is Kaka, even Man Utd, Liverpool or Real Madrid defenders will have to hide their faces
4: the defensive work of a team like Palermo in all the above circumstance won't let Kjaer help that much
    5: age, perhaps

i'm positive about him ( i didnt see the game )

Just watching the merda game and the amount of dodgy decisions they're getting is unbelievable! But as i write Napoli score

If Napoli can keep this result or even draw we owe them and Don a debt of gratitude.

Edit: Jose playing a 4-2-4 formation!!!!
