Yeah, that would be a good midfield. But as Haroon wrote earlier in the thread Carlo will go strength to strength and use Ambro.

I'm really anxious about this tie. On paper I think we have a decent chance, but the good record we have against Bayern will be broken eventually. I just hope it won't be this time.

Should we make it to the semifinal, we would have a very hard time against a very pacy opponent be it Roma or United. But Milan - even in the current state - can never be written of in this tournament. So lets not give up hope just yet.

I think we'll get humilaited by the pacey Roma/ManUtd..

Remmeber, we're yet to recieve our annual Carlo gift: The 4-0 trashing!

Pherhaps Bayern wins and they save us from getting humilaited by ManUtd/Roma.. You don't want to see Ambrosini and co. facing C.Ronaldo

You really are in love with Mister Carletto

Maybe it turns out we lack the cutting edge this year, but still I would'nt write us totally off. Some of our players are getting back in shape, and if we get past Bayern we could have this line up in the last part of the season:

    Dida

    Oddo - Nesta - Bonera/Maldini - Kaladze

    Rino - Pirlo - Seedorf/Janku

    Kaka - Gourcuff

    Gila/Pippo

Not so bad. You think? But Carlo probably won't like this lineup at all

For this game Milan is going to play with one striker...I kind of would like Pippo to start, because of his experience. Hopefully we can get the any win, and especially not allow any goals.

    Dida
    Oddo-Nesta/Bonera-Maldini-Jankulovsky
    Gattuso-Pirlo-Brocchi
    Kaka-Gourcuff
    Gilagol/Pippo

    FORZA MILAN!!!!!

    Oliveira re-enters the team selections:

    Seems some Berlusconi pressure?

i like it, i only think if carlo is going to use this one, clarence will be the one partnership kaka and gourcuff at the back mid and i have the feeling pipo will play! dunno if he will start but carlo will certainly use him, pipo scored many goals in the cl and also against bayern a simple mind would think that give guarentees so he will play in our case.

Not that i mind i would love to see a pipo on fire!!

Haroon Please don't use Inter to justify Bayern's greatness. In Europe Inter are a second tier team.

Bayern have won 4 out of 10 league games since the turn of the year. If we cannot beat them at our home when they are missing the likes of Van Bommel and Kahn, then we shouldn't be in the CL at all.

    Fillipo,

Mate, I'm not complaining. I just strongly disagree with discounting this Bayern side as their worst one in the last 5 years when their form and record clearly suggests otherwise. I think that we cannot over-rate them and we have to play a very good TIE (not just one game) to pull through this one.

We can do it but Bayern can do it as well. It's a very tight affair IMO.

P.S. Makaay with his goal-scoring purple patch of sorts is a tad worrying.
