Spanish starlet Fernando Torres has warned Milan that he is not ready to play in Italian football.
The Rossoneri have been linked with the young striker for over a year and sent director general Ariedo Braida to watch him in Spain’s win against the Ukraine on Wednesday.
"I know that there was a Milan official in the crowd," said the Atletico Madrid ace. "And Italy is a beautiful country but I would like to move there when I’m a few years older."
However, speculation suggests that the current European Champions are already lining up a swoop for next summer.
The Italian side are hoping to take advantage of their good relationship with Atletico in a bid to sign the prodigy.
That after the San Siro side sold them the likes of Javi Moreno and Cosmin Contra in recent seasons. As well as loaning them Jose Mari and Demetrio Albertini last term.
This is good news, we could really use him next seasen, pippo is getting old and Torres is really really good! And very young, maybe a bit too young but i thought the same about kaka!
A fine player with immense potential, but I trust that Milan`s scouting for future forwards doesnt begin and end with FT. Come the time we need another forward`s services, there could well be a myriad of options, better options, so I just hope that Milan havent already boxed themselves into a corner on this deal.
Contra and Javi Moreno have been not payed yet. Albertini, JM and Coloccini loans: the same? Does it means anything? An option on him is already ours, now they have just to decide when and how much. It depends on Milan and on the kid...
The next 2 years is very important to him to grow up.If he join us the next year he would sit in the bench for a long time,it would be harmful to him.I'm glad to see the boy make an intelligent choice.
I must say that I do not at all like the young mans attitude a lot. From what I have seen of him so far he seems a bit more occupied with changing hairstyles and picking his eyebrows...
Undoubted potential for sure but I doubt that he will ever have the mentality of a champion.
