i will get it though, Samsung UE46B8000 is the model number, give me your review of it! Technology has moved on so much since my plasma, and 42 inches seems small now. I was flirting with the idea of the 55 inch LED, but the wife gave me one of those looks :D
if anyone fancies watching a really great christmas film that doesn't involve macaulay culkin, arnold schwarzenegger or some other american superhero, i recommend Joyeux Noel, a really beautiful film about a very emotional subject.

I want Avatar to do really well. It's elevation of the art. This movie will positively fast-forward the best video technology to our homes. This is the game changer. I reckon that once the movie starts to get more viewers and the word spreads we could have a really big cash cow on our hands.
3D capable Blu-Ray players will be released at the end of next year. I love this hobby but I hate the upgrades. :d
A slight update on Avatar. The initial estimates for the revenue generated by Avatar were wrong. It earned more than $77 million in the domestic box office and more than $160 million worldwide making it the biggest opening ever for a December release beating that Will Smith tripe I am (not a) Legend.

Moving on to other movies. I finally got to see "Inglourious Basterds" in all its glory and I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. This has to be Tarantino's best work. What a movie! :)
The character building, the powerful dialogue and the intensity under the calmness of the situation is just magnificent. It also has touches of humour at just the right times which make you giggle a bit! :d
Brad Pitt acting as an Italian is icing on the cake! Gorlaaaami. :P
Christoph Waltz as Col. Hans Landa gave a memorable performance.
Tarantino has gone one better on Kill Bill which was very good in its own right IMO.

I saw Antichrist the other day. Wouldn't say it's great, but it's so very different. These days when I watch movie I often get a deja vu. Like you've seen the movie before. I hate that! :D
Besides that it's also a good movie, that's why I liked Antichrist. It was sick, demented and different.
