Good :)
Welcome dude :D
useful player, nice little dribbling actions good passer and technique, similar to rui costa's shooting tho :D
a good substitute, expect to see Pirlo fresher fitter and under less/more pressure next year, as the regista role is more natural to Vikash
it will be interesting to see the effect on Pirlo, because altho he is still guaranteed a spot, he now knows that he can be substituted and isnt as irreplaceable as he once was

He is not milan class player.
I dont understand this transfer.
This guy havent achieved anything in his career and why he bring him when he is 31 years old.
he is free agent and its the only thing that calm me but i dont like this guy and never had.
I though it was a joke when it was posted at first but this time i cant understand galliani.
I preferd we took back Donati or Sam Dellabona.

And what has Donati or Della Bona ever done to make them better than him?
Last year he was Lyonīs best, just ask any of their fans...
Besides their age, Donati og Della Bona have no advantages over Vikash....quite the opposite actually....

Are you saying that they were succeses the last 2 seasons?
I very much disagree, Dalla Bona was good at chelsea but never here, Donati has not been more than a little above average here, in parma or at Torino...
I really canīt see what makes them Milan quality...I certainly donīt see what makes them better than Vikash

I have to agree with Nicolas here..
Vikash at least have the experience and can play in the CL.. While the other 2 have misrabely failed in the past 2-3 seasons!

Dhorassoo can help us when needed both in an attacking role on the left side of the pitch and in the centre. He won't ever be a keyplayer for us, just a squad player who can provide us with some cover during times when Seedorf or Pirlo are in need of some rest.
I saw him in an attacking role on the left against Anderlecht this year. He didn't have an extremely good opponent, if I'm correct it was Zewlakow (polish international, that's the only positive thing to say about him), not Serie A standard at all, and Dhorassoo was a constant threat, by far the best player of Lyon. I lost track of him during the rest of their campaign, but he seems to be on the bench quite often, but same goes for Carriere (not long ago voted as the best player in France).
In the end it's important to know Dhorassoo won't complain when he's on the bench or not even in the squad. He knows a place in Milan's starting 11 is just a dream ;-)

Well, I cant honestly say that I`m enthralled by our first acquisition of the summer and I dare say that he wont sell many shirts, but the practicality of it is that he`ll add depth to the squad and will finally afford Pirlo some much needed respite.
Having resigned myself to the fact that his arrival was inevitable when the rumour first broke a few weeks ago, I pondered the deal and its pros and cons, recalled the games in which he`d impressed me playing for Lyon and said pros came out overwhelmingly on top. So, welcome to Vikash and I hope he provides good competition ;)

Dhorasoo makes Milan move
http://www.uefa.com/MultimediaFiles/Photo/competitions/UCL/164306_BIGLANDSCAPE.jpg
Newly crowned Italian champions AC Milan have signed French midfield player Vikash Dhorasoo on a free transfer.
Serie A move
The 30-year-old announced last month that he was leaving the reigning Ligue 1 title-holders in the summer when his present contract expired. Dhorasoo, a French international, has agreed a deal that will keep him at the San Siro until 2006.
Success
Dhorasoo arrived in Lyon in summer 1998 from Le Havre AC. He has enjoyed a successful time at the Stade Gerland, apart from a season-long loan at FC Girondins de Bordeaux in 2001/02, when he helped them win the French League Cup.
Excellent form
He had earlier picked up a winner's medal in the same competition with Lyon and on returning from Bordeaux, played his part in Lyon's Ligue 1 title triumph last term. This season, Dhorasoo has figured in 27 league matches for Lyon to help them to first place in the table with just four games remaining. He also played eight times in this season's UEFA Champions League, where Lyon reached the quarter-finals.

AC Milan Confirm Dhorasoo Signing
05/04/2004. AC Milan have confirmed the signing of Lyon's playmaker Vikash Dhorasoo for next season. He has reportedly signed a two year deal.
The 30-year-old French international is not expected to have a place in Milan's starting eleven, but will add more depth to a star studded lineup.
Dhorasoo has never played outside of France as the only clubs he has represented are Lyon, Le Harve and Bordeaux.
The question now is, what happens to Rui Costa? The Portuguese international is under contract to Milan until June of 2006 but is said to be unhappy with playing second fiddle to Kaka.
With the arrival of Dhorasoo, the rumours are already swirling that Rui Costa will join his former club Benfica this summer.

Milan announce Dhorasoo signing

by Nadia Carminati
Milan have finally landed France international Vikash Dhorasoo, announcing the signing just days after securing the Serie A title.
The Lyon star has been a long term target of Milan and he finally agreed a move on Tuesday.
The Mauritius-born midfielder will be one of Milan's cheaper acquisitions, arriving at the club for nothing because his contract with Lyon has expired.
Carlo Ancelotti is delighted to have sealed the title - after securing the UEFA Champions League last season, but is keen to build his squad.
The 30-year-old has grown frustrated with Lyon and is keen to prove his ability in Italy, despite interest from Paris Saint Germain and Marseille and links to Arsenal.
Another player expected to complete a move to Milan in the summer is Lazio defender Jaap Stam.
The powerful Dutch centre back has been in scintillating form for the Roman club this season, and is seen as the ideal man to play alongside Alessandro Nesta next season.
Meanwhile, Roma have been hit with a fine for their supporters' actions in the game against Milan that handed the Rossoneri the title.
Firecrackers were thrown onto the pitch as the fans tried in vain to interrupt the game, and Roma will have to play their final home fixture at a neutral venue as well as pay 40,000.

Milan switch delights Dhorasoo Wednesday 5 May, 2004
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Milan new boy Vikash Dhorasoo says he just couldnt reject a summer move to the Italian giants.
"I would have only left Lyon for a great foreign club," said the midfielder. "And Milan is one of the best in the world, if not the greatest.
"I have always dreamed of joining them and I admired the great Milan team when I was a kid."
The creative ace will join the newly crowned Italian champions in the summer once his current contract expires.
"I also had an offer from Marseille," revealed the 31-year-old. "The Coach contacted me and I appreciated that.
"It was an interesting proposal but as soon as Milan came in for me I quickly made up my mind.
"It is also true that Lyon wanted to offer me a new deal but it was too late by then. When Milan come to get you, you cant turn them down."

Amazing holiday spot too or so I hear ;)
An excellent appraisal of Milan there by Dhorasoo. I doubt it would be the case, but I hope he doesnt consider the move sufficient achievement alone and rest on his laurels as did some of our previous Bosman captures. He`ll have to work doubly hard than anyone else to prove his worth, so I hope he`s ready for that challenge.

Aceventura444, in his defence, he`s had to form an orderly queue behind some impressive talents in the national team in recent years, namely Zidane, Carriere, Djorkaeff and Micoud.
Mauritus lies near African coast, true. But more than 70 per cent of population are Indians, and Dhorasoo is Indian. if someone knows why Mauritius is populated by Indians, I would be thrilled to know!

Aceventura... no problem...you want Coloccini back, one of the most overated players of all the times. Milan have taken one of the most underrated players of the mometn, but I just want to rember you that he has won championships in France and that he has been elected three times as the best player of the french championship...In the national team? Well, in his role plays a certain Monsieur Zidane...

You keep you head focused on the fact that he only has had two caps, but tell me how many caps had Donati or Della Bona, whome you hold in such high esteem, had??
What have they achieved that makes them better?
You refuse to see that age is not a problem in Milan and compared to what Milan Lab has made 38 year old Costacurta into, imagine what they can do with Vikash...
Do you have any new arguements or just the same old ones that never has overwhelmed me?

by the meaning he have two caps its show that in his home country that he played there 13 years he havent recognized as on of the bests and called just two time for national team.
Della Bona and donati played regullery for the under 21 team but now of course they still dont have the azzuri stile yet.
Sam and Max are young and in the future they will reach the azzuri.
We payed 15 million dollars for max Donati so probably Braida at that time so somthing in him that worth the money.
Wht he achieved?
he played first team football in serie A regulery from young age.
As for Sam we payed around 6 million last year and he was reguler at Chelsea season before he arived to us.
Dont Compare costacurta and Cafu and Maldini to Dhorasoo.
Our oldies are legendery stars with above 300 caps together.
they won everything in football and they old Superstars.
Dhoraso is average player who never mantioned as agreat one and it doesnt matter that he 31 years old.
I dont care if you like this guy .

And Vikash is basically useless because you never read the newspapers that praised him so much last year...
That IMO is not logic but stubbornness...

Vikash Dhorasoo (AFP)
05/05/2004. New Milan signing Vikash Dhorasoo says he could not turn down a move to the European champions.
"It is like a daydream," he said. "For years, since I was playing in the Harfleur youth team in Normandy, even before making my debut with Le Havre, I have been a fan of the great Milan. Baresi, Gullit, Van Basten and Maldini were my idols and to be honest, they still are now. Especially Baresi, who is a model for me, not only as a player but also as symbol of loyalty in football. Useless to say that when I received Milan's offer, I immediately thought of those big names and accepted without any hesitation."

OK you as usually understand slowly.
Dhorasso is not at zidane position he playes at the center or in the right wing.
it is exactly the way doucoutr or lamuchi play.
Collo havent joined us from Alaves.
If you dont know dont throw words to air.
He joined us from boca when he was 17 years old.
What he achieved.
played reguler first team football since he was 18 years old.
Won the argentine leage title with san lorenzo(18 years old).
he played first team football in The Spanish LA LIGA simce he 19 years old .
Show me one young defender who played regulery in the panish leage in such young age.
Collo was the captain of the under 21 world champion argentina.

I know he joined from Boca and was loaned to San Lorenzo; it's not like Im waiting for you to give me a history lesson.. He won titles at young age? So what? Borriello won the CL and Serie A in a young age, not an Argentenian league were even Aimar's brother won it too at the age of 19.. And I bet you never even knew he had a brother!
Riquelme also led his team to become World Champs.. But.. He's at Villareal now not Milan or Juve..
Dacourt never played on the right while Lamouchi plays on the right in CM only..
Pavon is playing since he's 20 and in Real Madrid; won everything!
Barca too had some pathetic defenders playing at such a young age..
If Colo was the captain? Then another Argentenian star in that Cup; Maxi Lopez, the player who lots thought he'd rule.. Is a flop in Espanyol nowadays..

IM impressed by your brilliant spelling/writing skills..
And why are finding an excuse for Pavon? I mean if Real doesnt have someone then surely Alaves, Atletico and co. wont have also good defenders..
Pavon; in your logic is one of the greatest ever as he won everything while he's only 22..
Borrielo was on loan ok, RJ and Laursen were here.. Oh yeah, Cambiasso won a lot at a young age.. !

They got their chances and didnt impress neither at Milan or clubs with less reputation and ask Toro, Parma and Sampdoria about Donati, his progress have been zero in the past 3 years.. And someone still wants him to face Real Madrid when Pirlo is injured/suspended.. He's not even a regular at Sampdoria!
Not to forget about Sam; on him Im speechless, he cant even pass a ball!

So because they are italian, and we paid much too much for them, they deserve a chance more than Vikash??
THAT is logic :wall: :D :D :D :D :D
If we paid a lot for the players, they should play, regardsless of their talent and skills... LOL
They have had chances in Milan, and a lot of smaller italian clubs and they have failed miserably..
YES they should really play for Milan, they deserve it a lot more than Vikash

Cambiaso warmed the bench and pavon played because real dont have any other defenders.
mun united player won evevrything it doesnt made all of tham great.
i think donati did good job at parma and even in TORO.
when we got abad player like RJ or lursen doesnt meen they played good when we won the titles.
look if you want dont respect Collo but dont hail Vikash like he is some super sub because he is not.

donati barely played and the same is true about Sam.
if we played alot it mean Braida so in tham the potential to be stars for milan.
Vikash is coming to get sme bench time.
While over 20 million dollars are thrown to the garbege.

Braida also saw potential in José Mari, Comandini, Saudati, Ba, Bogarde, Andreas Andersson, Pablo Garcia ect...that doesnīt mean that they deserve a lot of options to play if they donīt perform
Duuuh Iīll give you three guesses to figure out why they didnīt play a lot for Milan...

it doesnt matter if you like this guy or not. i dont think he believes that he will be a starter. his is a sub and will add depth to our squad in the midfield, which is must needed. i dont think anyone here is saying he is a superstar but he has proven worthy in the french league. plus he is free

HRRRR, I am to late for such a nice disscussion :)
But I am totaly with Nicolas and Yasser on that one.
Donati did good at Parma? That is why he was shone the door I guess... Even Donadel was better.
And why should we respect Collo? He WAS a good talent. He WAS really a talented player which failed to turn into a real star (at least for now). Didnt live up to the expectations. What more do u want?
look dude...did u fall in love with Coloccini? why do u need him back????...kinda strange! Dhoraso has yet to prove his value for Milan...and only time will show!

Look OK lets forget Collo but when you will see him in the argentine national team playing refulery and maldini will retire
than we will see how far Collo went with his career.
right now with the signing of stam and probably Zebina Collo 100% wont go back so never mind.
We had our flops as davids and viera so Collo is the next one.

Remember that Ayala played and plays regularly in the Argentina side (even captaining) but he still flopped dismally at Milan but now stars in Spain... and he was older and more experienced...Colo still interests me a little bit but playing in the NT or decently in Spain doesnt mean he is Milan material!

Your arguements are childlike, you keep awoiding my questions, and just keep saying what you think about him, no facts, no logic just your opinions that you have to shove down peoples throaths.
You keep saying that Braida must have seen some talent in them when he bought them, but that is a very stupid arguement, then he has seen something good in Ba, Bogarde, Reiziger, Comandini, Saudati ect. why donīt you cry about them not getting chances?
You have still not said why Sam and Max would be able to fit in for Pirlo, they have no proven passing skills, no proven tactical knowlegde, and no expierience...They have not succeded at a high level...
Vikash has proven his passing skills, as far as I know, he has a good work rate, he has proven himself as a great player in the french league, and in the CL...
But why donīt you ask some Lyon fans to get their opinion about him, so you donīt throw around all those CM-based comments...
I don't know much about this guy. Hope he's pretty good. I doubt he's gonna play regularly though, but not everybody can be a starter :D.
hopefully, he will not be a flop! I very rarely watch French league, so I dunno abt him. Next time i do watch French league and if Lyon's on, I'll take special note of him :D.
I have never seen him play, but from what i've heard he seems to be a very good player, and he's free;) . Of course i would prefer Milan to have more Italians playing, but if there are stranieri(sp?) who are just as good if not better then i'm happy with that!. I also trust in our buying policy-last season i questioned our policy of buying Cafu and look what happened:eek: LOL LOL.

First of all Riziger got his chance ba either comandini played many matches to.i still comandini could acheve more if he stayed with us.
to play all yoer career in frence its not called prove yoer skills.
What he did in champions leage that you say he was so good?
worke rate?
he have no defensive abilitys.
"he has proven himself as agreat player" ???
A.C MILAN is not lyon.
Lets forget max and sam i still prefer someone else to be the sub of Pirlo .
Dhorasso is good for the french leage but not for Milan.

Aceventura444
6th May 2004, 13:51
Believe my i knew about kakas talent before milan even show interest in him.
I saw his debut at 17 in sao plaolo game.
Pancaro was international player and KK was injured so why not.
Cafu was and still one of the best right defenders ever so his signing was great news for me.
look praise Dhorasso as long as you want and if he will play great for us i will be the first to admit about my mistake but as far as i saw him playing and i saw couple of lyons matches he havent convinced me that he is milan class.
and please dont compare world class player like cafu and wierd sign like Dhorasso.
There are great players in the french devision but we chose all the time the wrong players from there.just desally was good all the rest were waste of money.

So now you praising Pancaro? I bet that wasnt the case last summer as Kaladze wasnt injured last season for a long time!

Have you been Kaka's friend in teenager time? ;)

no i am ok with where i am.
look; i only give opinion about players that i watched them play.
yes i saw KAKA's debut and believe me as an unti Rui fan i was so exited when we signed KAKA (i didnt believe he would get the chance to show himself but i happy carlo gave that chance to him).
i sm not part of milan board but they signed big $$$ players so why they havent got their chance?
For the saudi arabian guy.
we had no back up for KK so of corse we needed someone last summer and i am glad it was pancaro.
the same is this year with caful,we need back up and may be Ze maria is the answer.
i am doubting this signing(dhorasso) for the same reason that we had many bad signing over the years and the odds are againts vikash.

you all say "from what that i read".
if you saw him play than prais ehim so much.
let da guy alone! we all have our own opinions....and sometimes it is fun to read our posts....:D
Ace Ventura, it is good u have your own understanding...but try to show some details, facts, stats in order to argue with the likes of Nicolas, Yasser, Walter.....etc :pi:. u cannot simply shout that Comandini had a great talent, colo had a great talent...etc..etc....bla bla bla...what we have now is way better of what we could have with comandini, coloccini......
and one more thing...it is too early to judge Dhorasso as he did not play a single game in Seria A. we got him on a free transfer thinking that there would be someday when Rui would leave us!...IMO he wont be used more than Brocchi....but still we could benefit from him..........=> whether we will do that or not we shall see next season!...just to remind you that even Nesta was average when he joined us from Lazio and it took him some time! Milan is defferent! the exceptions were, perhaps, Sheva and Kaka'..but these two guys are not from this planet :).:D
Ze Maria?!? We have our super-inconsistant and old Serginho for gods sake. Also we will have Stam... Why Ze Maria?
Also Pancaro was no better international then Dorasoo was before we signed him...

And furthermore it occurs to me that it's the second time the same moderator is directly involved in these fiery arguments with new members, which leads to the ban of these members.
New members mostly need time to adapt to the style of their new club, just like most football players do...

As for the member banned before him, he insulted another moderator not me..
We understand they need time and so, but bad words arent acceptable.. Were since the 1st pages he's sh1tting on everyone.. Before I was even involved in this thread..
He doesnt want to discuss just give orders and who doesnt accept his opinions is an asshole, and you can ask how asshole we had earlier in the thread according to him!
I usually dont make fun of the language or so, lots of ppl didnt study english, but for that guy stopping him was a must, he insulted me twice talking about countires and so while I refused to say from where he is and what kind of country he comes from, I didnt go that low to talk about politics..
I did the minimum anyone would have done!
though I wonder what was his country :D....
and it is not about insulting moderators...! we do not allow any insult! DM is a quite and peaceful forum! we had enough of him!
and his nick...was an implication of the famous movie guy! and his thread regarding Valerama aka Coloccini....too unmatured! as I said before...the decision was taken correctly!

Keeping your manners also implicates not making fun of members, and certainly not of their spelling...something I find extremely childish. Not everyone on this globe has had the opportunity to attend English education in a proper way.
And furthermore it occurs to me that it's the second time the same moderator is directly involved in these fiery arguments with new members, which leads to the ban of these members.
New members mostly need time to adapt to the style of their new club, just like most football players do...
Do you like to be made fun of in public?
I'm gonna go along with the NERD's :D comment there ...
Newly joined member have no idea how's things going around here so i guess it's normal (more or less) for their sudden outburst to anyone who dissagree with them .
here's where the mods should come in to make him got his 1st glance about the new comunity he just joined .... in this case Ventura has already accepted the advice to watch his language (at the collo thread ) , this shows that he is willing to addapt . ( i didn't see this attitude at mohamad8k case for example )
this "willingnes" imo should be exploited more with patients , after all he is a fan ... a milan fan , to help a fellow milan fan to be a better person and fan is a noble thing to do .
this are not the duty of the mods alone but also the seniors members
u know ... when i see a football player being fauled by his opponents in the pitch , and the victim asking the ref to give a card to the player that fauled him ... for me it's an unapropriate (if not disguisting ) behaviour , same thing goes here .. but that's just my two cents
so i think it would be better if we treat a new member WHO WANTS to be a better person with a little more patients

IMO, one shouldnt need be informed how to conduct oneself be it in this forum or any forum at that. For any members new to be board, I would expect them to behave as they would were they entering another person`s home - with amiable respect.
If said member elects to take the opposite stance, being both offensive and belligerent, in all probability, that will remain the case regardless of words of caution and numerous warnings. In such cases, as we`ve seen recently, I`m fully supportive of their being banned.
Now, back to Dhorasoo ;)

A nice interview on our new signing courtesy of UEFA.com;
Dhorasoo to bow out with a bang
Vikash Dhorasoo predicts he will have stars in his eyes, but the Olympique Lyonnais midfield player is clearly relishing the prospect of playing for new Italian champions AC Milan next season.
Ilustrious company
The 30-year-old will move to Milan on a free transfer in the summer, becoming the eighth French international to represent the Rossoneri after Nestor Combin, Jean-Pierre Papin, Bruno N'Gotty, Patrick Vieira, Marcel Desailly, Christophe Dugarry and Ibrahim Ba. He cannot wait to join that impressive list. "Knowing I will be playing alongside the likes of Paolo Maldini and Alessandro Costacurta leaves me feeling a little star-struck," he told uefa.com.
Language classes
"I think I'll probably feel a little intimidated at first. It's my first move abroad, I don't know anyone there and of course there's the language barrier," said Dhorasoo, who has already started Italian lessons in preparation. "Settling in, being part of the squad as quickly as possible, and getting on with people is the priority," he added. "That's why I have begun the language tuition.
Childish enthusiasm
"It's bound to be a bit a stressful but in an exciting way. I can't wait to be in the changing room, to pull on the Milan shirt, to start my new career. I think I'm going to be like a little kid at first because I'm so enthusiastic about the idea of playing for Milan."
High pressure
Dhorasoo is also aware that the squad at Milan is vast compared to the group of players who reached the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals with Lyon this season. "People ask me if I'm not concerned that it's a rich squad with lots of good players and that I won't be guaranteed a place in the starting lineup," he said.
Unmissable opportunity
"The worst thing that can happen is that I don't play, but I'd rather not be playing at AC Milan than not playing at another club," he continued. "Milan know what they're doing when they sign players and it will be up to me to show them what I can do. It's an opportunity not to be missed."
Successful spell
Dhorasoo signed for Lyon from Le Havre AC in June 1998 and became a fans' favourite at the Stade Gerland. His time there has coincided with Lyon's most successful period. He helped the club win a first French League Cup in 2001 and the French championship last season. He missed out on Lyon's maiden league triumph of 2001/02 because he was on loan at FC Girondins de Bordeaux, where he won another League Cup.
'A legendary club'
"I'll miss Lyon and the fans in particular but I'm delighted to be joining one of the biggest clubs in the world," said Dhorasoo, who admitted he came close to joining Lyon's rivals Olympique de Marseille. "I was very close to agreeing to join them, but when AC Milan came in with a firm offer, there was never any doubt in my mind," he said. "Milan is a legendary club."
Dream scenario
Dhorasoo will link up with Milan in the summer, but before that he would like to claim another Ligue 1 title with Lyon. "I've had some memorable moments here and hopefully there will be more before I leave," he said. "I have to focus on winning the French title again with Lyon, but I'm already excited about next season. It would be great to join the Italian champions as a champion of France."
