I was just looking at Soccerage and i saw this (http://www.soccerage.com/en/13/q2179.html) , apparently Joaquin could walk from Betis for free in 2006, so they might sell him.
Do you think he would be a good aquisition for our club?, a right winger with pace and skill!-everything we need IMO.
What are all your thoughts on this?.

We use 41212 so any right midfielder coming will be no more than a squad player that will spend lot of time on the bench..
Will Joaquin accept this ? Guess not..

That's a shame, i feel that one of our weaknesses is a lack of width. If you remember, the start of last season when Serghino was playing, we were playing some lovely football and scoring loads of goals. Then Serghino was injured and we struggled to break teams down(especially lower teams), that's why i thought if we could get Joaquin we could either play him with Serghino or just play one of them and that would give us the width we need and also give Pippo and Sheva good service:D .

He's too good for Betis IMO
Maybe he'll go Fiorentina next year with Mido and Nakata :pi::Duhuh

Firstly, I`d say that he needs to increase his levels of performance considerably, secondly, I`d say that he needs to be mindful that an attitude akin to that will scare off any potential suitors and thirdly, I`d wager that Betis will place too high an asking price on his head. Not to mention the fact that IMO, we dont really need him anyway.

I do like Joaquin, hes the perfect right winger in todays game but sadly we have no need for wingers, hes only just turned 22, every time i see him play he looks a differnt class in the Betis side. Beits would also put a big price on his head, i heard this summer Man Utd came in 2x for him and offered around 25Mill Euros.

he's the type of player needed for inter ... with all their wingers that suck so much ... ow ow ...
another kily gonzales! he must do more to convince me, though he's good ............. but spanish players in A ... give him space and he rules ... but close the spaces and then what ... serginho is maybe the best left winger in the world, and even doesnt always get his space at milan ... send him in open space and he will fly! we play central midfield ... + galliani taht doesnt pay any more money for players ... only loans/swaps or players that we are after that want to play for milan, and no other team ... like kaka ea!
cheers

Thinking about it now, do we really need to spend upwards of 25 million Euros on a spanish player:eek: when we signed a Brazilian wonderkid for 7million Euros:D .
At the time of the article i thought Joaquin would have been a good buy, but that price is ludicrous:eek: . Let manure waste their money on him LOL

Pity there arent any Donadoni`s available on the market nowadays :( That`s the ilk of player Milan need as opposed to your out and out winger variety such as your Joaquin`s of this world.

Face it ... we cannot compete for players anymore with england and spain ... but that doesnt mean anything! italian teams nowadays are stronger than ever before ... england has the money, but italy has the cups!

England is about 10 years behind. They are naive now and splashing the cash like Italy were 10 years ago. However i think Italy have out the best because of underhand deals etc and generous chairmen, rather than being controlled by a board; that will cause the english teams chaos.

Look at Kaka? he was offered more money to play at Chelsea, but he chose to play at his rightful home:D . Not all clubs in England have money, and top players want to win big competitions-something English teams don't do.
As for Spain, it's only Real(with the help of the government;) ) that seem to spend big. Football prices are slowly reducing i.e.Beckham was the biggest transfer this season@£25million, but before that you had Zidane@£47million and before that Figo@£37million. If the spanish government didn't help real then they couldn't afford these players.
When Gallianni says we have made a loss this season i find it hard to believe. After all we won the Champions league(rumoured to be worth £30million pounds) and the Coppa Italia(still got to be worth a couple of million pounds). I think he's playing crafty and making us out to be worse off then we really are, i think he's saying this to pacify the fans, be sure that if another Kaka type player is for sale then we will buy him:D

Yep .... that is one of the benefit of " Absolute Monarchi " , which is curently being used by the italian football .
But , the Draw back for that system is ... ones need a Wise and Briliant "king" in the helm ;)
Cos if the "king" doesn't have those quality , his kingdom will crumble into Davey Jones locker .....
wanna prove ?? ...... Look at our "cousin" :D;):D , and compare them with us ( with Berlu as the King )

why the hate on the premiership? yes they spend money, so what? they make it fairly through marketing & the Sky money so their entitled to spend it.
Other than a couple of Chelsea players Makelele & Crespo, who else has gone to England just for the money?

I dont want to get into an argument on this, really i dont but besides this only Man Utd pay big wages, players like Rivaldo come to Italy & seem happy to sit on the bench & pick up his 100K a week, so its unfair to criticise England as a place where only greedy players go

everything done by sky is NOT FAIR ... BELIEVE ME! As the sat spokesman ;) of devilsmania i know what it is all about! football must be free! period!
football shirts in england cost too much ... and also the tendency in italy lately i must say! when i critic i critic everyone ...
---> sky is england AND italy and they both suck!
Fair money is money earned in the champions leauge that wont be spend for big investments ... deontologically spoken you can put the word FAIR in doubt in many ways!
I never liked marketing linked with football ... marketing is a thing ... and football is another thing ... let england have its marketing ... we shall bring the cups!
cheers

why the hate on the premiership?
I don't hate the Premiership, i'm fed up with being told that it's the best league in the world all the time.
I live in England and i have SKY tv and you'd think(listening to them and the press) that the Premiership is the end all and be all of football. They never give any other leagues(except maybe La Liga) the respect that they're due. They also seem to think everyone supports manure:confused: , this is complete nonsense as most people hate manure;) .

Elch, being English, i cant say a bad word about Sky, Rupert Murdoch has built English football from a pile of crap in the late 80's to a top 3 Division in the world.
Im grateful for him plowing his money in, hes paid over the top for Skys English Broadcasting & by doing this hes dramatically helped out every club in England.
Yes, shirts are a rip off in England but so is everything else here, car prices are doubled, house prices etc, nearly everything in this country is double the cost than in Europe & the states.
I know what your saying about marketing in football it sucks, but not every team can have a Berlusconi or an Abramovich, the rest of the suckers only have tv rights & stadium revenue in which to survive.
Shevvy7, i know your pain, i think the tabloids especially in England talk about Man Utd a little too much, but they always band wagon on good teams, look at this crap on sky about Real Madrid. Beckhams playing on the TV more than Henry or Van Nistelrooy, Jesus every time Madrid are on tv its like "ohhh the greatest side in the world, ohh look at that bit of magic from Zidane, god hes amazing, los galactikoss!!!" when really hes done what Scholes or Gerrard do every match but they say nothing.
Sky certainly give enough respect to La Liga but there going to hype up the Premiership & La Liga more than Serie A because they just paid $$$$$$ for it.

That is so true;) , do you remeber last season spanish football on sky?, there were different teams week in and week out. But since Beckham has signed for Real they have been on each week:no: .
Even worse than Sky though are ITV:angryfi: , when it's Champions league night all they ever go on about is manure and Real, as if everyone loves them:( . Last season when we won the title, itv showed as little of us as possible:angryfi: yet if manure had been the live game they would have got half hour of highlights as well:confused: . thankfully SKY have the rights to nearly all the games so i can watch Milan in full:D

He`s just extended his contract with Betis until 2010, so that should put an end to the speculation for a while ;)

Woho this arguement I just missed..
EPL is the world's graveyard.. That Extreemly Pathetic League EPL is too bad, I mean you cant even predict a game in there, a day the team wins 5-0, the next day they lose 0-3.. No quality, no tactics no nothing.. Just the fans..
Some clubs like Man Utd spend heavy money like idiots, take a look at the $47m man Rio Ferdinand and compare him to $33m Nesta or even $17m Cannavaro, you cant compare..
Cristiano Ronaldo, joined for $18m !! WTF his contract expires in 2004 and they paid $18m ???
Veron $40m and he wasnt even used at his position, then again.. Look at $28m man Duff, he's a very good player.. but that price, well I doubt if Ballack would reach that price anyday soon..
England are years behind Europe, in the last 10 years, only once an English team reached the CL final..
