We all know the story and we all have different opinions about Rivaldo. Here is another aspect to the Brazilian's somewhat weird attitude...

Check the link out here << The Interview >> (http://www.uefa.com/magazine/news/Kind=16/newsId=100218.html)

uefa.com: Does it bother you that you have sent much of the season sitting on the bench?

Rivaldo: "Of course I'm not happy that I don't play very often, but I'm not depressed because of that. I expect my time will come and expect that time will be soon."

-------------------------------------------------------

I'm wondering here... Just coming out of a heartbreaking divorce that cost a lot time and energy last year preventing him to fully contribute to the club, shouldn't he be pretty darn determined to show that he still can do it? I mean he is looked upon as a great champion of the game...

I wish Carletto gives Rivaldo some real opportunities to perform. Not 45 odd minutes per week but 2-3 games on the trot.

Comments guys?

yeah but if in these few mins he doesnt run, doesnt defend or does NOTHING in function of the team ... then what do you want? his name is rivaldo ... but that doesnt mean you dont have to run!

cheers

Elchi, use your mind..

Few mins arent made for Rivaldo.. You give few mins to JDT, Borrielo.. But when you give Rivaldo few mins it's like you INSULTING him..

Anyway, as both Maldini and Pirlo said, Rivaldo is getting back to his best..

I hope he starts with Kaka and Sheva vs Bologna..

so ... it's an insult ... ? why? becuz his name is rivaldo?

that's a lame excuse!

if you want to belong in this milan you have to work for it! i'd rather see brocchi play with balls than rivaldo standing still!

When Sheva was off form, we were brilliant.. We inserted him to the team he dpne very bad.. But he was given lots of chances..

In the meantime, Rivaldo since March havent got a full match.. !!!

Like I said Rivaldo needs to play many games on the trot because his contributions aren't based on gallons of sweat or how filthy his shirt is. That doesn't mean that we should tolerate anything less than 100% but it's pretty childish to expect a player like Rivaldo to put his legs where the heat is (something he never did) and use that as an excuse...

IMO, Rivaldo doesnt deserve a chance in the team. Is Carlo to bench the new gem that is Kaka in place of a clapped out, egotistical pain who has shown nothing in a Milan shirt whenever he`s been afforded the opportunity? One`s position in the team/squad should be earned on merit and as things stand, Rivaldo should consider himself lucky to actually have a squad number.

Although I see your point (it's a damn good one) and agree to some extent I cannot fully agree with you Simon.

Kaká is 21 and has played a single game for Milan. Sure he impressed and we are all delighted to have this hot prospect at our hands. However, wouldn't it be rather risky to overexpose the lad in his first term in a new country? People seem to be a bit short minded around here. Kaká has yet to make his mark at San Siro, a place known for it's scary atmosphere that could ruin any talent with some stick and whistles...

Forza Milan

not worried about that to be honest ... tallent is tallent ... and even in brazil where he had a hard time with the fans he stood up and played well ...

even when sheva wasnt 100% the fans didnt wristle at him ... becuz he has earned respect! well ... trust me! kaka also has respect from the fans!

---> rivaldo on the other hand not ... why? becuz he doesnt sweat in his shirt!

they like workers like gattuso ... not somebody that is waiting for the ball!

cheers

Although i do feel sorry for Rivaldo, we have to go on. I know Sheva wasn't at his best last season(injuries/tactics), but at least he tried when he came on. When it came to that decisive penalty back in May you knew that you could depend on Sheva to score it and that is why i(and nearly all Milan fans) always want him to play. Rivaldo, on the other hand, flattered to deceive in every game he played. I know he is/was a big star, but he still needs to earn respect and even when the game is not going his way, just to try that little bit harder.

Well, Mix, Kaka was a leader os San Paolo for at least 1.5 years, and they have wild fans there. So, I guess he is used to handling pressure.
