After two years, 78,000 meals at the club's expense, and Oliveira...finally, daylight!
Bravo and grazie to Berlusconi, Galliani et al for providing the club, the fans with the ilk of signing that it/they deserve. It's been quite a while coming...and hopefully, Ronaldinho proves to be a revelation.
Forza Ronaldinho! :kingnew:

There were rumours he took the pay cut on the understanding we would let him go to China. There were even some rumours we must play a friendly in Barcelona in order to get a further 2m euros off the price...
if all this is true, then we really are broke! Cant see us signing anyone else! ;)

I am very pleased to hear that we have signed Ronaldinho. He has been one of my favourite players over the last 6-7 years, although he has had a hard time recently with injuries and his form, but I think Milan Lab and the coaching staff can get him into shape and back playing up to his high level.
Maybe he needed a new environment and a different challenge and with the other Brazilian players in Milan's squad, he will settle in quickly.
I think he is the perfect player to offer us much needed creativity and it will be interesting to see how Kaka, Pato and Ronaldinho play together next season.

Imo Milan can't let him go to China couse they didn't let Kaka', Bonera and Pippo! It wouldn't be fair!
Anyway, welcome on board Magician! I wish you lot's of fun with your "brother from another mother" Kaka', Pato and so!

some light at the end of the tunnel.
Welcome Dinhninho.
ps: IMO Pippo will make the best out of Dinho's presence at most this season. With Kaka, Pirlo, Flammini, Ronaldinho, Seedorf all great ball passers Pippo will rule the world again with 36.

in one of his first comments ronaldinho promises the milan fans that he is going to show a lot of passion and commitment to the club and that he can't wait to start!
Also the players are very happy with his signing.
Seedorf says that Ronaldinho is the "cherry on the cake" he doesn't know if R10 needs some time to addapt to the team, but he's sure it is a great addition to the team.
kaka comments that he is very very happy with the signing and that R10 is an absolute star, i always felt good to play with him in the national we are well connected.
Inzaghi says that with R10, milan is able to go for the scudetto.

First genuinely delightful piece of Milan news for some time. Excellent signing, and on his day the world's best player but has faded horribly in the last 2-3 years.
Hopefully this move will recapture his best.

Milan gripped by Ronaldinho fever
Wednesday 16 July, 2008
Ronaldinho has landed in Milan to a jubilant reception and Carlo Ancelotti has hailed his arrival.
The former PSG man completed a switch from Barcelona to Milan late last night for a fee of around £18m.
Dinho flew into Milan’s Malpensa Airport at 11.30am along with Vice-President Adriano Galliani and is taking a medical this afternoon.
A crowd of fans gathered to cheer the Brazilian ace as he started his new life with the Rossoneri and the star’s arrival has prompted a clamour for season tickets with 3000 sold in an hour as soon as the transfer was confirmed.
“There’s lots of talk about the Milan of the future,” Ancelotti told the Milan Channel.
“The club have made a big sacrifice to buy important players and not only Ronaldinho.
“He has brought so much enthusiasm. Dinho’s not an outright striker because he loves to find space as well as being deadly.
“What do I expect from him? I expect him to give his all. We are hoping to give him the chance to return to being the best in the world with us.
“It has been a unique summer but we will be competitive on all fronts next year with Gianluca Zambrotta, Mathieu Flamini, Ronaldinho and Marco Borriello.
“We have so many options now and we have a nice mix of youth and experience. With Kaka and Dinho in hand I can come up with some new tactics.”
Maybee something like this:
Abbiati
Zambrotta--Nesta--Maldini--Jankulovski
Pirlo--Flamini
Seedorf--Kaka--Dinho
Pato

To me Flamini is still 3rd in the pecking order for DM behind Ambro and Rino.
I know Rino didn't have the best of seasons, but Flamini would need to prove himself first.
If Rino doesn't improve, it won't be too hard.

Welcome to Milan Ronaldino!
I wish you all the best as long as you are sincere and faithful to the Milan cause. Berluspony's wet dream has come true today after three desperate years of fantasizing. Gaylliani went to pick him up in an Audi while poor Ronzilla came on a Renault! :d Well, in his defence there could have been an A8 sent for him instead of an A6! :P Cheapo!
R10's salary wasn't disclosed AFAIK. £16 million plus £3 million depending on results is a pretty decent deal. Barcelona really mismanaged this transfer IMO. They could have sold him for well over twice this price but they didn't.
Now they have added one more to their list of big name departures. Their history is consistent to be a feeder club for the bigger clubs.
To the snake ... stay away from your devious money making schemes you conniving prick! Enough. I bet a fraction of the LOLiveira fee was advance payment to Barcelona as that clown can't be the same price as R10!! No way.
We still need a goalkeeper and central defender but the chances of our incoming transfers being closed is a reality. The midfield is strong again on paper which is very good. The strike force is OK while the defence needs a lot of improvement IMO. It will take another Summer to fix the mess of the last few years. You can't fix it all in one Summer.

The air of enthusiasm which Ronaldinho's brought to the club is an invaluable shot in the arm. Had he not made an appearance today, the adoring fans awaiting the would be Messiah's arrival would have been carrying anti-hierarchical banners and I'm sure that, in turn, would have affected the morale of the squad, many of whom returned to training today.
So, even before he's kicked a ball, he's put the club, the players, the fans on the front foot. There's still some concerns - the lack of a GK and CB - but if Ronaldinho plays to even 85% of his potential, we may not be calling on the defence quite as often this coming season ;)

i agree with Simon 100%, with a history of rejuvinating fallen players, we are the best place for him, part of me still thinks a big centrforward would have been a cleverer signing, but signing of the season could ultimately be Boriello if he can go some way to filling that mould. kaka-pato-dinho is going to be eagerly awaited. A goalkeeper is a MUST though,

there will be much of prssure on Ronaldinho's shoulders in the coming season. People will be expecting much from him , especially, after a bad season everyone will see him as the Saviour. Ronaldinho as player has come to a point with no turning back. Either he will get back to his old form and be Milan's new leader or will enter History's soccer legends book. With his arrival i foresee a good season for Kaka with less pressure on him, also for Pippo.
We shall see, its good to see a change down there on Via Turati...

other way round for me...
if we get a good keeper and no defender, well we know that Kaladze/Bonera can do an adequate job, and Nesta will cover there mistakes...
for a GK, there is nobody to cover you. Therefore bring in Goddamn Boruc for gods sakes. He wont cost more than 10M!

_|_ drew! :d
It's a good deal to a certain extent at 21 million EUR but we may end up with 4 consecutive UCL qualifications resulting in the deal being 25 million EUR. The salary is undisclosed which is fishy! :d I reckon he is on 8.5 million EUR at the very least. :P No image rights as well. 100% goes to R10!
R10 doesn't love Milan that much. The only reason he came to us is:
1. Manchester Shitty is not a high profile club. It's actually a pretty shitty and ridiculous club.
2. No other big club was in for his services except Milan who were really interested.
3. The Shitty World Cup 2010 is around the corner. For him to make that cup the best move was to move to Milan rather than Man Shitty or LA Galaxy! Everybody has to keep that in mind. He sacrificed his 15% for a very good reason. That amount is nothing compared to the fact that he could miss out on the WC party in South Africa. That is also the reason he is stressing on going to the Olympics so that he can make up lost ground with Dunga who has serious doubts over him.
4. Barcelona were always going to be in a very weak position once the pre-season bell rang. With no bidders they were just trying to get 28 million EUR which they invested to buy him from PSG. And they have got it now. Actually with the 21 + 4 they will recoup more because of the exchange rate betwen then and now. ;)
Shrewd deal? Hardly! :d It's a good deal for all parties but not a shrewd deal by any measure. Kaka was a shrewd deal. Cafu was a shrewd deal. Nesta was a shrewd deal. :)

Time will tell whether R10 makes us invincible or not. Those are really big words and expectations. I don't think we have a great team at all. That's such a loosely used word just like World Class is used for the average Joe's who have a great month or two on the pitch.
R10 has the potential to be a devastating addition for us and can really make a mark on the team. In the same fashion he may not be what we expect him to be and start to wilt after a season. There's a pretty good reason why Real, Chelsea, Utd., Inter, Juve etc. stayed away. It's a risky buy. We took the risk and we can flourish the most. We can suffer the most as well.
At this point, I prefer to be cautious because I am not totally sold on this purchase as yet.
Just out of curiosity .... what are your expectations in each competition that Milan plays in for next season since you believe that we have a great team now?

i was also not 100%, and part of me still believes adegayor has qualities which would have benefitted us more, ie age, pace, and strength.
I think the shrewd nature i was referring too, was how Galliani wasnt bullied by barca into high transfer fees, even when they were saying he was definately going to man shitty. He knew the game, dinho wanted us, he knew all sinawatra's money wouldnt matter. I think he ran the whole affair well

CAMPAGNA ABBONAMENTI: SUPERATA QUOTA 25.000!
21/07/2008
------------------------------------------------------------
I've also read that there are already 11.000 Dinho shirts sold.
Ronaldinho brings in a lot of money! also a reason why we signed him.
