Big match for Milan this week for the vital 4th spot against the tough Viola.

No Ronaldo and no Gattuso will surely make it touhger. Hope Gila, Pato and co can get a great result. It's time for Kaka to have a CL type game. LET'S GO MILAN!!!:diavolett

this match will be huge. I am really anxious to see the formation ancelotti goes with on the road against a good team with no gattuso. this could be a preview of his plan for the first leg at the emirates as it looks like gattuso will not be available.

his formation will be the same i would expect with brocchi filling in, which i dont mind, i think brocchi is a great cover player, id sooner take him over emerson.

by the by, it seems our striker choices are down to pato and gila.....

0-0 HT Fiorentina's got the better chances, but Kalac is playing brilliant these days. Oddo and Gila have been very bad, Pato must come in!

GattusoKing
3rd February 2008, 20:27
Very disappointing and lazy displays from Kaka and Seedorf. Pirlo's not been much better...whilst Oddo's performance last week must have been an aberration.

As for Gila, I didn't really expect any better than what he's shown tonight.

What a shambles of a start to the 2nd half.

Attila
3rd February 2008, 20:56

Attila

Shameful thing that despite Fiorentina using their 'B' midfield we're still being outplayed.

Seedorf is upset with the change, hope he's ok.. and Kaka have been so selfish today, Gilardino was in a fine position a minute ago.

Attila
3rd February 2008, 21:02
keep Kalac for the rest of the season !! so much better right now compared to dida

Attila
3rd February 2008, 21:04

Attila

Nicolas

Jesus christ what excitement! Great save by Kalac

But I am really really worried for Pato. How long are twisted angle injuries normally lasting?

GattusoKing
3rd February 2008, 21:33
Grande Kalac, Nesta and Pato but what a cruel, cruel blow to lose the Brazilian. It looks as though he could be out for a good few weeks at least, leaving us with Gila as our only fit forward. Paloschi looked quite useful in the Coppa Italia so maybe not all's lost...but losing Pato is crippling.

As for the game, an undeserved victory but the most vital one of the season so far. We awoke for a spell of twenty minutes courtesy of Pato's introduction but were quite horrible for the other seventy, IMO.

Seedorf, both performance and countenance wise, was an utter disgrace, IMO.

Anyway, a great victory in the context of things!

Forza Milan!!!!!!! :kingnew:

IMO that was totally disrespectful to Pato to not shake his hand before coming on. I expected more from Seedorf.

Anyway great result but bad news regarding Pato, hopefully the injury is not as bad as it seems.

And what a save by Kalac, I think we have our no.1 keeper for now:)

I'd be extremely surprised if we saw him back within two weeks. That's the best case scenario I'd have thought...but judging by his pained reaction, I fear it may be a couple of months.

On the positive side, he's young so relatively speaking, he should heal quicker than most.

Twisted ankles takes 2 weeks minimum and 4 as maximum.

PATO: LA SITUAZIONE
03/02/2008
FIRENZE - L'entità dell'infortunio di Alexandre Pato, costretto ad abbandonare il terreno del Franchi anzitempo per una distorsione alla caviglia, verrà valutata nelle prossime 48 ore.

Well lets just hope that he will fully recover and as soon as possible. He is really able to bring something extra to our game

What a fantastic result, just fantastic...although Pato's situation is more the worrying.
Not a deserved win for Milan...for sure Fiorentina did what they wanted to except score.
Milan particular in the defence showed a lot of character... Kalac in particular, he let a couple of balls slip dangerously, but overall the big aussie was great.

Pato what a talent...pretty much by himself decided the match with great ball control and a wonderful finish.
He's injury clouds the win a lot...at least until we know how serious it is, and it seems that it could be bad, let's hope that's not the case.

I noticed Seedorf was upset when he walked off the pitch...I hope it was at himself because he played like crap in this game, infact... after he left Milan started playing better. What a total lack of respect not to go out the right way and at least shake Pato's hand.

Emerson deserves credit...came in and was a big contributor in the midfield.

FORZA MAGICO MILAN!!!!!!!!

Ancelotti: "Pato, distorsione seria"

Basically, Carletto says the injury is serious...it will take 48 hrs to determine the severity. :(
He also says he hopes Pippo and R99 can come back soon.

If they say in 48 hours, it's not good, not good at all, I fear our season is over ... or Gilardino must turn into a goalmachine, I'm not even happy with victory today after this

I just realized our goal was a combination from Gilardino-Pirlo-Kaka-Pato

Fantastic counter-attack goal.

didnt see the second half! but i saw some highlights, very nice goal by Pato! what a brilliant player he is, and at that age.

i have the same injury as Pato at the moment, and I think he will be back in a month or so, its a nasty injury and a very dangerous one, you cant go back playing too fast or else you'll make things worse and you could be out for another month! (it happened to me)

We really need ronaldo when pato is out, Gilardino cant do it on his own.

We grafted out a result which is good. Pato's injury is bad. I hope he comes back soon. If it is torn ankle ligaments then I am afraid that this is a long recovery [6 months or so]. If it is a strain then maybe 3 weeks.

I just hope that the injury is nothing serious as we need this player to salvage what is left of the season.

Supposedly Kalac said that in the dressing room Pato is feeling pain but it is nothing serious.

Anyway, I hope you guys already know that Kaka also pulled out of the NT alongside Pato because he's injured too!

Man..

no pato? damn you carlo

lets give carlo some slack, we dont want to burn pato out, and secondly we moan when he doesnt rotate the squad, he puts kaka up front, clarence got a game, and he is cleverly keeping the peace. Pato came on, half an hour to go,
